			Another thrill of a lifetime for me - visiting Gifu, the birthplace of Confucius. Taking time off from the hectic scholarship recruitment trip to Jinan to visit Gifu which is about 2 hours by car from Jinan.  Pictured here with Lim Yee (Ministry of Education, Singapore) at the statue of Confucius in front of the hotel where I stayed for 1 night.
			Fear Factor - eating deep fried cicada at a restaurant in Gifu - a speciality in Gifu, so I was told!

			With my host, the principal (centre) of the Confucius School in Gifu.  I was thrilled to be presented with a printcopy set of the original Confucius analects (论语) by my host.
