			In memory of a very dear friend and IMIA colleague, Professor Jean-Raoul Scherrer of Switzerland who passed away in Geneva on 19 March 2002.  I have known Jean-Raoul since 1989 and we worked together on MEDINFO 92 in Geneva.  Jean-Raoul was Chair of the Organizing Committee and I was Chair of the Editorial Committee.
